Chandigarh: In a daring heist that unfolded during the early hours of Saturday, armed assailants looted a staggering sum of 7 crores from an office belonging to a private firm in Ludhiana, an industrial town. The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. as a group of ten masked robbers forcibly entered the premises through both the front and back doors.

The office is of a cash management firm that serves banks, named CMS Company, located near Rajguru Nagar, according to Police Commissioner Mandeep Singh Sidhu.

He also said 15 cash vans of the company are usually stationed there and a cash van that was taken away by the miscreants was recovered by the police.

The police have launched an operation to trace the miscreants and it is also reported that they have already destroyed CCTVs installed at the spot before committing the robbery.
