Actress abduction: One more accused arrested

Kochi: Police has arrested one more accused, Manikandan, in the alleged abduction and molestation of a popular Malayalam filmstar. Manikandan, who was with the key accused during the time of crime, was nabbed in Palakkad on Monday.He will be taken to Aluvaby Tuesday morning.

Police are trying to get details from Manikandan over where Suni could have escaped. It is learnt that Manikandan has told the police that he did not attack the actress. "The whole incident was planned by Sunil alone. I came to know about the plan only after getting into Sunil's vehicle," Manikandan said.

Suni had approached the Kerala HC for anticipatory bail and the court today rescheduled the hearing to March 4.

Police say Pulsar Suni was in regular touch with two of his girlfriends even after the crime and remaining underground.The police obtained the details after examining the call details of Suni’s phone. They are contemplating on probing this angle as well to get further leads into his hideout.
