PM Modi unveils projects worth Rs 13,000 crore in Varanasi

Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for various projects valued at over Rs 13,000 crore in his parliamentary constituency of Varanasi.

The projects encompass multiple roads, a cooking gas bottling plant, a milk processing unit, and a silk fabric printing common facility centre for weavers, as per an official statement.

In support of the textiles sector in Varanasi, PM Modi laid the foundation stone for the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). Additionally, he initiated the establishment of a new medical college and the National Centre of Ageing at Banaras Hindu University.

PM Modi inaugurated Phase-1 of the Sigra Sports Stadium and the District Rifle Shooting Range. He also inaugurated development works in Sant Ravidas Janmasthali, amounting to approximately Rs 32 crore, and laid the foundation stone for the Sant Ravidas Museum.

Earlier in the day, the prime minister unveiled a statue of Sant Ravidas and participated in the 647th birth anniversary celebrations. Furthermore, he engaged with the winners of the Sansad Sanskrit Pratiyogita at the Banaras Hindu University.
