Chhattisgarh: Two men - Narsingh Das (50) and Ramnivas Mehar (52) - were stripped, paraded, and whipped in Chhattisgarh's Bilaspur district for allegedly selling beef. The mob stripped the men to their underwear and paraded them through a street. A crowd was following them.

The viral video shows that a man in the crowd was whipping the victims and others were recording the attack. Many in the mob were heard encouraging the whipping. Police arrested Das and Mehar. Officials told NDTV that 33.5 kg of beef was recovered from them. The duo was riding a two-wheeler with a white sack, said police official Sumit Nayak.

When people asked them what was in the sack, they said it was beef. The police were called to the scene and the two were produced in court today. The meat was examined by a veterinary doctor but a report was not produced.
