New Delhi: A chief executive officer of a start-up said he received more than 3,000 resumes in 48 hours after posting jobs, NDTV reported.

Kartik Mandaville said on Twitter the job vacancies posted on his company website received 1.5 lakh views.

Amazed at the burgeoning response, Mandaville, who is also the founder of the start-up Springworks,, said that the public interest shows ‘ the current status of the job market’.

Springworks, established in 2014, provides software solutions for human resources sector.

‘Received over 3K resumes in the last 48 hours just on our website - how bad is the job market?’ Mandaville tweeted.

Mandaville claimed he so far received nearly 13,000 applications for various roles in his company.

The staggering response comes nevertheless opportunities were posted entirely on the company website, rather than on any social media platform.

Even as the job posting gained traction, many sought details about the company’s products and roles.

One user on Twitter attributed the huge response to ‘ remote’ nature of the jobs, saying that 'the numbers swell primarily because of the word 'remote' next to each opportunity in your listing. I'm wondering what would the numbers be if it was an on-site role’.

Another user said unemployment is peaking and people are desperately looking for jobs no matter that are unconnected to their college education.

Mandaville’s company website said he had his masters in Machine Learning from Carnegie Mellon University in the US. It also claimed that he started coding at the age 6.
