New Delhi: Tata Motors is doing better than most of its rivals in domestic market, after stars began smiling down on it with the launch of iconic Tiago a couple of years ago.

It has already made a stunning entry into electric vehicle portfolio further stabilizing brand value.

With Tiago EV is going strong, Tata Motors has a total of three EV models with the other two being the Tigor EV and Nexon EV, according to NDTV.

But Tata Motors is no mood to stop churning out newer EV models anytime sooner.

Perhaps, car buffs might still remember Tata showcasing concept version of the Curvv EV and the Avinya EV in April.

The automaker has come a long way since planning more EV models, alongside its plan to launch both aforementioned vehicles by 2025.

Understanding the fact that fossil fuel vehicles are getting out of fashion, Tata plans to expand its arsenal with as many as 10 EV models.

Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, was quoted as saying that it is the right time to introduce "vehicles that will encourage the rapid adoption of EVs."

When it comes to market possibilities of EVs, Tata can relate its success story as regards Tigor EV and Nexon EV that offered the company a share of 87 per cent in the passenger EV market.

Not only stars are smiling down on EV models, the Indian government is offering various subsidies for pushing EVs in the market.

By 2030, the government wants 30 percent EVs in passenger vehicles, 70 in commercial vehicles and 80 for two-wheelers and three-wheelers.

Obviously, the competition is currently getting shifted from fossil-fuel vehicles to EVs with major companies are working on their greater EVs at affordable prices. Yes, an EV revolution is in the offing in India.
