The Arab countries has been the worlds most volatile and conflict ridden regions and continues to create dangerous threats to the rest of the world including the US.

Chaos have been sweeping the Middle East countries with political disarray, autocracy, instability , corruption, poor infrastructure and financial crisis afflicting the nations. Iraq has almost been destroyed with the Islamic State capturing large swathes of the country and the government and the Kurdish forces battling against them. The escalating insurgency is poised to spread to neighbouring countries and is considered a major threat to the US. Situations in Syria are pathetic with the President, Bashar al-Assad battling his rival rebels aggravating the civil war in the country. The nationwide protests against the Assad regime were suppressed by violent crackdowns.

In Yemen, the row between the government and Houthi rebels, the group adhering to the Shia principles has intensified. A weak government, corruption and poor infrastructure have obstructed the progress of the poorest country in the world. US is continuing the airstrikes amidst the crisis. The state of Libya, Egypt, Lebanon and Palestine are even worse. The autocratic government forces and the Islamist forces are continually battling the opponents in these countries claiming human lives as well as natural and economic resources. The countries have been literally collapsed with corruption and poverty making the crisis deeper. The ongoing conflicts between Palestine and Israel do not also seem to end even with a two state solution. Territorial disputes, sectarian rivalries and failure of the government to resolve the issues are the key causes of disputes in these countries.

The world powers have always shown keen interest in West Asia due to indispensable significance. West Asia plays a crucial role in global energy markets and its cultural significance comes from the fact that the three main world religions originated in the West Asian countries. The region undoubtedly has a profound influence on the peace and stability of the world countries. The race for supremacy, power and wealth would only uproot the countries. The chaos and violence in the Arab countries is taking place at a time when the whole of the Islamic community is set to gather for Hajj, the annual mandatory religious duty of all Muslims. The essence and the true spirit of the religious observance should be imbibed in a proper way and not superficially. Thousands of people, a majority of them civilians, have been killed, injured and forced to flee their homes due to the conflicts and war and its high time people realize the truth and fight in unison to bring about peace, harmony and stability.
