Chennai: Addressing a BJP campaign rally at Karaikal on Sunday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the aim is to wipe Congress out from the country. In Congress, family rule prevails, he added.

Ex-MLA John Kumar, Venkateshan and Ramalingam, the brother of Speaker Sivakolunthu, had recently joined the BJP. Sivakolunthu also has submitted his resignation letter to the Lt. Governor. There are indications that he may also join the BJP.
