Speaking at a congregation of the Congress-Left alliance at the Brigade Parade Ground, Congress Lok Sabha leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has said that the alliance will defeat Trinamool and the BJP in Bengal.
Chowdhury added that it is the policy of the BJP and the Trinamool to destroy all the parties in front of them but the alliance shall stand in the state. A massive rally of the third Front was held in Kolkata as part of the preparations for the Assembly elections.
In addition to the Left parties and the Congress, the ISF, the party of Abbasuddin Siddiqui, a cleric from Furfura Sharif, also participated in the rally. CPM General Secretary Sitaram Yechury and ISF leader Abbasuddin Siddiqui lined up in the parade.
