Kerala Assembly: Oppn walked out calling CM as bragging

Thiruvananthapuram:  UDF lawmakers staged a walkout on Wednesday protesting what they said Chief Minister was using Assembly as a venue to slander the UDF.

It all began after PT Thomas made some remarks on the controversial rape case of Binoy Kodeyeri, son of CPM chief Kodiyeri Balakrishnan.

When PT Thomas delivered his speech, Chief Minister was not present in his seat. On returning, he was informed of PT Thomas’s diatribe against Kodiyeri.

In his reply, the Chief Minister attacked PT Thomas and the Congress referring to the Congress party’ s silence on Sangha Parivar’s comment “ it was not Gandhi, but Nehru should have been killed”.  Given this, Chief Minister said, the Congress had no right to blame communist nations.

Earlier, in his speech, PT Thomas had censured China asking whether there was any opposition in the nation.

While the Chief Minister was speaking, the Opposition staged a walkout saying that CM was bragging.
