New Delhi: Just as the sit-in protest continues in Shaheen Bagh, three mediators appointed by the Supreme Court will visit the place after studying the order.
SC asked them to hold talks with the protesters and persuade them to call the protest off.
One of the interlocutors in the team told as much about their plan.
The Supreme Court on Monday criticized the continuing blockade at Shaheen Bagh, and said that “there are lines and boundaries”. The court also that said that democracy is about expression of views.
Acknowledging the right to protest, the court asked authorities to arrange an alternative site for the protesters.
The court will hear the matter next on February 24.
