Now a cricket team for Malayalam singers

Kochi: Malayalam actors and directors already have a cricket team and now musicians have formed Cochin Music Challengers, which includes playback singers and composers.

The aim of the team is to raise funds to help music artists in need of aid. It was singers Afsal and Madhu Balakrishnan, who floated the idea to form a cricket team four years back during a stage show.

A year ago they started a team named C3. Ramesh Babu is the captain, while Prakash Babu holds the vice captain's position in the team.

Other team members include musicians, singers from film field and various
channels. Some of them are keyboard players as well as singers.
