Kochi: President Pranab Mukherjee reached in Kochi Saturday for a day’s visit.
The president is in the State to attend the Golden jubilee celebrations of the T D Medical college at Alappuzha. He will go Alappuzha by helicopter to attend the function in the afternoon.
Mukherjee will also inaugurate the 125th anniversary celebrations of the Malayala Manorama newspaper at Kottayam.
Governor H. R. Bharadwaj will preside over the function that will be held at the premises of Manorama's printing unit in Kodimatha, Kottayam.
