Thiruvananthapuram: Minister for Electricity Aryadan Mohammed has said an imminent hike in power tariff will be imposed in the State if it is recommended by the Regulatory Commission.
Talking to reporters here on Friday, The Minister has also said the government is trying for options to avoid the load-shedding completely.
The Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) has imposed fresh daytime restrictions on power supply between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. for two days from Thursday.
This is to make up for the 450 MW deficit in supplies from private plants and Central generating stations and is in addition to the one-hour cyclic load-shedding already in force.
