Los Angeles: Oscar winning singer Adele has been named Britain's richest young musician after amassing an estimated fortune of 30 million pounds.

The 24-year-old has topped the list of music millionaires under 30 in the Sunday Times' Rich List 2013 for a second consecutive year after earning an estimated 30 million pounds fortune - a marked increase in her 20 mn pounds wealth in 2012.

Cheryl Cole is in second place with 14 mn pounds, while Leona Lewis and Katie Melua, who both have a wealth of 12 mn pounds each, land up on the third position.

Florence Welch rounds up the top five with nine mn pounds earnings, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

The 25th Sunday Times Rich List will be published April 21.
