Mumbai: Newcomers Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor's second project "2 States" will be released on April 18 next year.

Directed by Sreerag Nambiar, the film is based on the 2009 novel of the same name written by Chetan Bhagat.

"'2 States', the movie, will release on April 18, 2014.

Long wait. Hopefully, well worth it!," Bhagat, who has written the screenplay of the film, posted on Twitter.

Alia, 20, and Arjun, 27, are currently shooting the film in Ahmedabad.
