Chennai: Kerala-based jewellery retailer Malabar Gold plans to open 220 stores across the globe by 2015 including South Asia and far East countries, a company official said Thursday.
The company plans to have presence in South Asia, parts of Middle East and also in Far East countries, Malabar Group Chairman M P Ahammed said.
As part of strengthening its presence in Tamil Nadu, the group's tenth outlet in Tamil Nadu and third in city, was inaugurated here today.
"This is part of our plan to strengthen our retail presence across the country. The company is targeting to have 220 stores worldwide by the year 2015", he told reporters here.
According to Malabar Gold Regional Director V S Shafeek, the company intends to open 35 showrooms in Kerala by 2015.
