UPA govt in the dock again, rail minister Bansals nephew held for bribe

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday booked Union railway minister Pawan Kumar Bansal's nephew for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 90 lakh from a Railway Board member.

"Mahesh Kumar, a railway official, and three others identified as Vijay Singla, Sandeep Goel and Manjunath were booked for bribery. Mahesh Kumar had given Rs.90 lakh to the three to ensure his promotion. The money has been seized," a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) official said here.

According to informed sources, Singla is Bansal's nephew.

According to reports, V Singla was allegedly paid the sum to facilitate the promotion of the railway official.
