Thiruvananthapuram: KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala has come out into the open lashing out against Ommen Chandy.
In an interview with The New Indian Express on Wednesday, Ramesh Chennithala has said the Chief Minister can choose his way and he will go his own way.
“The party-government axis will never be the same again. There will not be a compromise anymore,” Chennithala said.
"Can anyone point out that I had put hurdles in the way of Chandy in running the government? All including the Chief Minister know that I was not after ministership. By the end of the Kerala Yatra, I was approached again with pleas to join the government. But now I understand that it was all done to humiliate me and nothing else," he said.
Reacting to media reports, Ramesh Chennithala said: "I have not given any official interview to anybody", declining to entertain any further queries on the matter.
“Ramesh Chennithala is an experienced leader. I don’t think KPCC president can give such an interview,”Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan told reporters.
“It is a fake interview. I talked to Ramesh Chennithala and he affirmed that he did not give interview to any news paper lashing out against Ommen Chandy,” K. Sudhakaran MP said.
