Perumbavoor: A court Monday extended the remand of Saritha S Nair, accused of duping many people of their money through an illegal company called ‘Team Solar Renewable Energy Solutions’ here.

Since Saritha’s remand period was to end today (Monday), the police led by Perumbavoor DySP K Harikrishnan produced her before the Judicial First Class Magistrate here which extended the judicial custody till July 1.

She refused to talk to the media persons outside the court.

Meanwhile, Saritha, through her counsel, will file a bail plea at the High Court today.

Saritha, along with her husband Biju Radhakrishnan, had duped many people of their money through their illegal company.

Saritha was arrested in the case registered by Perumbavoor police for allegedly duping Sajjad of Perumbavoor of Rs 40.5 lakh promising to set up a solar plant and a windmill farm. Her husband is still absconding. Ernakulam North police too registered two cases against her for similar fraud, including one where a person lost the Rs 1.35 crore he had invested for a solar plant and windmill farm.
