Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Ommen Chandy on Tuesday ruled out his resignation over the issue of solar panel fraud.
“The Opposition is raising baseless allegations. Their demand for my resignation is without any reason,” Chandy told reporters.
He also ridiculed allegations that he had given a letter to Saritha recommending her solar project be included in the Emerging Kerala summit.
“It is now proved the allegation that I had met Saritha in Delhi was wrong. The government has not given any help to the solar company without considering the State’s interest,” he said.
“The fraud began during the tenure of the previous LDF government. What action did they take against the solar panel fraud,” Chandy asked.
Chandy admitted he had met solar-panel scam accused Biju Radhakrishnan only to discuss the latter's family issue. When asked about Ganesh Kumar’s alleged link in the issue, Chandy refused to divulge the details.
