Thrissur: M.K Kuruvila (57), a businessman settled in Bangalore, who had filed a complaint alleging involvement of Chief Minister’s office in the solar scandal, was arrested by Peramangalam police here on Monday in a money swindling case.
He was arrested following a complaint lodged by one Bijeesh, resident of Aamballoor, for swindling money from him.
Kuruvila is accused of duping several people making them deposit money in his company called Pan Asia Brokers and Consultancy Pvt Ltd.
He had earlier accused a staff member of CM’s office and another man of duping him of Rs 1 crore. Kuruvila alleged that the duo took the money from him to set up solar panels in Municipalities and new business ventures in the state.
Kuruvila had said though he had filed a written complaint with the chief minister about the cheating, no action was taken against the culprits.
