Thrissur: DYFI activists waved black flags at three places in Thrissur as the Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan’s car passed by.

The protesters, demanding the home minister’s resignation over his alleged involvement in the solar scandal, waved black flags at him near Ramanilayam here while he was on his way to attend the passing-out parade of firemen of Viyyur Fire Force Academy.

Since DYFI activists had gathered in the area in advance, Police forces were deployed to avoid any untoward incidents.

The minister faced the same incident near Viyyur Power Station and later at the entrance of Fire Force Academy as he headed to the venue.

Police had to use mild force to restrain the youth activists at all the three places. The protesters were arrested and removed at the Academy entrance to make way for the home minister.
