Thiruvananthapuram: Leader of the Opposition V.S Achuthanandan on Monday made serious allegations against Chief Minister Ommen Chandy in the Assembly saying that his family members had links with the main players in the solar fraud case.
Citing that the Speaker had switched off his microphone when he began to speak on the issue during the last session of the Assembly, Achuthanandan has said it has now come into light what he had intended to say on that day.
“The government is now talking about a CBI investigation into the solar case only to save the Chief Minister,” the CPI-M veteran said in the Assembly.
“Why was the government afraid of a judicial inquiry,” he asked.
