New Delhi: CPI-M General Secretary Prakash Karat on Friday criticised Congress High Command for backing Chief Minister Oommen Chandy who has been facing calls for resignation from the LDF Opposition in the wake of Solar Panel fraud case.
Karat wondered as to why the Congress high command was continuing its backing of beleaguered Chief Minister Oomen Chandy even after the involvement of his office in the scandal has been revealed.
"I think there is some lack of communication between what is happening in Kerala and (in Delhi). Every day, links of Chief Minister and other ministers with these affairs (are) coming to light," he said.
Asked whether CPI-M was for early Assembly polls in the State as demanded by a state party secretary Pinarayi VIjayan, Karat remarked, "He must be thinking that UDF days are numbered."
