Malappuram: Indian Union Muslim League on Tuesday said that it wanted KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala as a minister in the State cabinet.
Muslim League leader P K Kunjalikkutty, while talking to the press here, said that his party would like to see Mr Chennithala as a minster in the UDF government.
He, however, rebuffed reports that the League was the hurdle in Chennithala's way to be the deputy chief minister. “There has no such discussion happening in the Front. The Congress leadership itself is against creating a post of deputy chief minister,” said the Industries Minister.
He added that everyone in the government wanted to see Chennithala in the Cabinet.
