Thiruvananthapuram: CPI-M state committee member M V Govindan Master on Friday said that Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan had said that the office of the chief minister would also be included in the judicial probe into the solar scandal.
Govindan revealed that the home minister talked to Pinarayi Vijayan, CPI-M state secretary, on the phone on Thursday and assured that the judicial probe would also include an investigation of the role of the chief minister’s office as demanded by the Opposition.
The revelation has reportedly lit up a new storm amidst the chief minister’s reiteration that the probe would not include the role of his office.
When asked if the terms of reference for the probe would also include an investigation of the role of the chief minister's office, as demanded by the Left opposition, Chandy on Friday said that numerous allegations were raised about his own office, but nothing was produced to substantiate the allegations.
Meanwhile, Pinarayi Vijayan confirmed that he talked to the Home Minister but refused to divulge the content of the talk.
