New Delhi: Reiterating that there will be no going back on its stand in the solar case, Leader of the Opposition V.S Achuthanandan has said the Opposition is not considering any talks with the government regarding the judicial probe in the case.
“Chief Minister Ommen Chandy’s office should come under the purview of the investigation” Achuthanandan told reporters in New Delhi here on Sunday.
Mr. Achuthanandan said that once the judicial inquiry started, Mr. Chandy would not be able to remain in the Chief Minister’s chair.
Meanwhile, the CPI-M Central Committee, which met here on Saturday, gave permission to Opposition leader V.S Achuthanandan to take up a legal fight in the solar case.
According to media reports, Achuthanandan had held talks with CPI-M general secretary Prakash Karat and informed his unhappiness on calling off the siege at the Secretariat prematurely.
