Kochi: The government on Tuesday informed the High Court that the State had objection in granting bail to Shalu Menon, an accused in the solar scam case.

The Advocate General has said in the court that the investigation against Shalu Menon is not over. The investigation team has to trace the money acquired through fraudulent deals and its sources, the AG said.

Meanwhile, the government informed the court that bail can be granted to Tenny Joppen, former personal staff of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy who was arrested for using the CM's office for fraud, with stringent conditions.

The scam pertains to financial cheating of several people by the accused Biju Radkahrishnan and Saritha Nair, both under arrest, by offering clients solar energy solutions.

The accused allegedly flaunted their clout with the Chief Minister's office for duping unsuspecting clients of huge sums.
