Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala government has increased the allowances under various categories to headload workers.
The benefits include raising of ex-gratia payment in case of natural death of a worker from Rs 20,000 to Rs 50,000, special treatment assistance from Rs 35,000 to Rs 50,000 and medical reimbursement amount from Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000, Headload Workers Welfare Fund Board Chairman S Baladev said in a statement.
The medical reimbursement for dependents of headload workers had been hiked from Rs 2,000 to Rs 5,000, the statement said.
