Thiruvananthapuram: Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan on Saturday said that the UDF government had given assurance to CPI-M State secretary Pinarayi Vijayan of its readiness to hold talks on the issue of including the chief minister’s office in the ambit of the judicial probe into the solar scandal case.
The revelation likely to put the CPI-M in more trouble as it is already under fire from some party quarters for suddenly calling off the secretariat siege it began demanding judicial probe into the solar scandal and the resignation of chief minister Oommen Chandy.
The home minister said that the assurance was given as the CPI-M stalwart demanded it.
Thiruvanchoor further revealed that he talked to Pinarayi Vijayan on the phone the day the CPI-M called off the stir.
