Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Thursday said that the State government would not protect Salim Raj, his former gunman, who was arrested along with six others on Tuesday for allegedly trying to kidnap a man at Karikamkulam in Kozhikode.
While talking to the media here, the chief minister said that it was up to the court to decide whether to examine the phone records of Salim Raj in solar case.
The court acquittal of 20 accused persons in TP Chandrasekharan murder case is not a setback to the UDF government. Kerala police cannot be blamed for the court order. The law will take its own course in the case, said Chandy.
The chief minister further said that the government would appeal against the court order if needed.
