Thiruvananthapuram: Taking a dig at the State Home Department for the acquittal of 20 accused in the T.P Chandrasekharan murder case, former KPCC president K. Muraleedharan on Thursday said the case should be handed over to the CBI.
“The Congress has lost the campaign battle with the acquittal of the accused in the case. It is the big mistake on the part of the government,” Muraleedharan told reporters.
“The second phase of the investigation had taken a sluggish pace,” he said.
A local court Wednesday set free 20 accused, including CPI-M district secretariat member Karayi Rajan, in the case relating to the murder of Revolutionary Marxist Party leader T.P Chandrasekharan.
