Thiruvananthapuram: Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will reach here Wednesday evening to attend the 60th birthday celebrations of Mata Amritanandamayi.
Modi, a key guest of the event, will attend one of the sessions organized as part of the birthday celebrations of Amritanandamayi at her ashram at Vallikkavu in Kollam district on Thursday.
According to reports, Modi will address office bearers of BJP in the state on the strategies for the coming Lok Sabha polls on Wednesday. Around 100 office bearers from state president and general secretaries to district president and secretaries will attend the meeting that will be held at Mascot Hotel.
Modi who will reach the capital in the evening will camp at Mascot hotel and leave for Mata Amritanandamayi Ashram at Vallikkavu, Kollam, by helicopter on Thursday morning.
A few months ago, Modi had come to Thiruvananthapuram to attend Sivagiri pilgrimage.
