Will inform stand on Data Centre case in SC, says Achuthanandan

Thiruvananthapuram: Leader of the Opposition V.S Achuthanandan has said he will inform his stand on the Date Centre transfer case in the Supreme Court on Monday.

“I’m ready to face any probe. The case is politically motivated,” Mr. Achuthanandan told reporters.

The CPI-M veteran also asked the government to clarify the situation in which the case was handed over to CBI.

Meanwhile, T.G Nandakumar said he was made a scapegoat in the Data Centre case.

The State government, in its affidavit, had October 3 informed the Supreme Court that there was no reconsideration of its earlier decision to hand over the Data Centre case to CBI.

The Data Centre, associated with state-owned State Data Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), was handed over to Reliance Communications in 2009.

The issue ignited a row ever since the Data Centre, maintaining sensitive data on the State, was transferred to Reliance, terming it a big security risk.
