Thiruvanthapuram: Congress (B) chairman R. Balakrishna Pillai on Sunday came out against Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan in the data centre case.

“The statement made by Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan that the case was stayed before he assumed the Home portfolio was wrong,” Pillai told reporters here.

“The government’s stand in the case is in favour of lobbyist T.G Nandakumar,” he said.

Denying allegations of his involvement in sabotaging a CBI probe in the case, Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan had said that the case was stayed before he assumed the Home portfolio.

The Data Centre, associated with state-owned State Data Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), was handed over to Reliance Communications in 2009.
