Thiruvananthapuram: The virtual queue online booking for devotees wanting to visit the Lord Ayyappa temple at Sabarimala this pilgrimage season starting mid-next month will begin on October 15.

The system, introduced a few years ago by the Kerala Police as part of crowd management during the peak season, has been utilised by thousands of devotees since then.

On visiting the portal, the devotees can register themselves by providing details such as name, age, address and photo ID and then choose a date and time of their convenience from the calendar of availability displayed on the portal.
