Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Whip P.C George’s stand on various issues and his public statements came under heavy fire at the Cabinet meet here on Thursday.
Seeking strong action against the Chief Whip, Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan said at the Cabinet meet that P C George was raising sharp criticism against him regularly. Transport Minister Aryadan Muhammed also expressed his dissatisfaction at George's recent statements.
Meanwhile, Kerala Congress (M) chairman K M Mani said that he asked P.C George to control his statements especially on issues of other parties.
“His statements are personal and not that of the party,” he said.
KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala on Wednesday had said Kerala Congress (M) chairman KM Mani should restrain Chief Whip P.C George from making derogatory comments.
"Goerge should stop insulting Congress leaders. As leader of Kerala Congress (M) and a senior functionary of the UDF, Mani should restrain him," Chennithala had said.
