New Delhi: Crime magazine editor T P Nandakumar has filed a fresh plea in the Supreme Court seeking probe into Rajya Sabha deputy chairman P J Kurien's role in the Suryanelli sex scandal.
In the plea, T P Nandakumar has sought a probe against P J Kurien based on the revelations made by Darmarajan, the prime accused.
The Kerala High Court had October 23 rejected a petition filed by the victim seeking a fresh investigation into the role of P J Kurien in the Suryanelli case. The victim filed the plea challenging the Thodupuzha sessions court upholding a magistrate court's order, refusing to arraign Kurien.
The woman raised the request for a fresh probe after revelations by Dharmarajan. She also complained that no proper investigation had been conducted against Kurien and two others, Jamal and Unnikrishnan.
The case relates to a 16-year-old girl from Suryanelli in Idukki who was abducted in January 1996 and taken to various places and sexually exploited by at least 40 people.
