Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government has decided not to oppose the bail plea of Abdul Nasser Ma’dani, an accused in the July 2008 Bangalore blasts case.
When Ma’dani’s bail plea comes up for hearing on Monday in the Supreme Court, the State will verbally inform the court that enough security will be provided to him if bail is granted.
Meanwhile, the Karnataka government Monday will file an affidavit in the Supreme Court opposing the bail plea of Ma’dani.
The Karnataka government has argued in the affidavit that Ma’dani does not have any serious ailments and that all his health issues are age related.
Ma'dani was named in as an accused in the second supplementary charge-sheet filed by the police and was arrested in Kerala on August 17, 2010. He has been lodged in Parappana Agrahara jail since then. He is among a total of 31 persons chargesheeted in the July 2008 Bangalore blasts that killed a woman and left 20 others injured.
