Kannur: Unidentified persons hurled two country bombs at the house of a police sub-inspector, who is part of the special team probing the recent attack on Chief Minister Oommen Chandy here, early Sunday morning.
Steel bombs were hurled at Kannur Town SI Sanal Kumar’s quarters at 2.30 a.m, sources said.
The cop and his family were not at home at the time of the attack which damaged glass panes of a window.
Top district police officials visited the house, they said investigation was on.
Chandy was injured when stones were pelted at his car allegedly by Opposition LDF workers when he visited the city on October 27 to attend a function.
The police on Saturday arrested V.V Rajesh, the prime accused in the case related to the attack on Chief Minister Ommen Chandy.
