Kozhikode: Indian Union Muslim League mouthpiece ‘Chandrika’ on Wednesday came down heavily on its ally in the ruling UDF in the view of the debacle it suffered in the recently concluded assembly elections in four states.

In an article written under a title ‘Those having a mind to wake up can come back,’ Muslim League leader KNA Khader MLA asks the party workers to learn a lesson from the election failure it faced in Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

The article criticises an approach of adopting a policy during the elections and abandoning it if came to power. It asks Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Vice President Rahul Gandhi to express more confidence in the functioning of their party. “Any form of disarray in the ruling front will only help the Opposition.”

“The Congress party should do away with its organisational weakness. Errors in its functioning style should be corrected. The party should adopt a more popular approach in its policy matters,” the article goes on.

The article says the Congress to undoubtedly convince the people of its commitment to secularism. It also asks the party not to reach in any pact with corrupts within or outside the organisation.
