Thiruvananthapuram: The State government has decide to provide a monetary assistance of 75 crore to the Kerala State Transport Corporation which has been facing a financial crisis.
A decision in this regard was taken at a Cabinet meeting here on Wednesday. The allotment is part of the financial aid declared earlier in the state budget.
The KSRTC is yet to pay employees’ salaries and pension of the last two months.
The Cabinet also decided to appoint former DGP (Prisons) Alexander Jacob as Director of Institute of Management in Government.
