Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Thursday dismissed the bail plea filed by the prime accused in the case related to the attack on Chief Minister Ommen Chandy in Kannur on October 27.

V.V Rajesh, a Shrikandapuram resident in Kannur, was arrested on November 23 from Payyoli here while he was attending a PSC examination. Rajesh is Kannur district committee office secretary of DYFI.

The police allege that Rajesh had thrown the stone which hit Chandy.

Chandy was injured in the stone pelting incident when he went to inaugurate the valedictory function of the Kerala Police athletic meet on October 27.
