Alappuzha: KPCC President Ramesh Chennithala on Sunday said that Janathipathiya Samrakshana Samithy (JSS) hadn’t informed the UDF leadership that they were leaving the front.
“They haven’t informed us. We are in efforts to persuade them to remain with the UDF,” Chennithala said here.
The JSS had earlier revealed its plan to leave the front. The party’s rift with the UDF widened after a verbal spat with Kerala Congress (M) leader and government Chief Whip P C George. Though the party had sought removal of George from the post in the view of his insulting remarks against the party honcho K R Gawri Amma, the Congress refused to bow down.
However, some of the party leaders, including state president Rajan Babu, are against the idea of leaving the UDF.
The party had on Saturday expelled some of its leaders alleging anti-organisational activities.
