Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Monday slammed the State government for not taking any action against the erring Revenue officials in the land grab cases involving Salim Raj, former gunman of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.

“The report of Revenue Principal Secretary has mentioned the involvement of the Revenue officials in the land grab cases. Then, why didn’t the government take any action against the officials?” the court asked while hearing the plea seeking a CBI probe in the case.

“The officials, who are involved in the case, should be removed from the posts,” the court observed.

Revenue Principal Secretary G Kamalavardhana Rao, in the report filed after the inquiry, had concluded that revenue officials had falsified and manipulated the department's records to aid third parties.
