Kalpetta: Two people were killed and 40 were injured when a private bus collided with a lorry on national highway-212 at Kolavayal near Muttil in Wayanad in the wee hours of Tuesday.
The police identified the dead as C.K Shanil (33), bus driver and Manu George (23), lorry driver.
The injured have been admitted to a private hospital in Kalpetta. Two of the injured, who are said to be in critical condition, have been admitted to the Kozhikode Medical College.
The bus was on its way to Bangalore.
