Thiruvananthapuram: The Revolutionary Marxist Party (RMP), which was formed in 2008 by slain leader T.P Chandrasekharan after parting ways with the CPI-M, has hinted at forming an alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

“We are on talks with the AAP for a political tie-up. Both of us are keeping the same approach in politics. We are exploring the areas for an alliance with them,” K.K Rama told reporters here on Sunday.

N. Venu, RMP State secretary said initial talks for the tie-up were held with the party’s Delhi faction.

“We are planning to form an alliance with the AAP for the Lok Sabha polls. There is nothing wrong in joining hands with them in the fight against corruption. The party is aiming to form an alternative Left Front,” Venu said.
