New Delhi: The division in the state unit of the BJP has widened with the latest being Shobha Surendran, who is the State president of Mahila Morcha, writing to the party’s central leadership seeking removal of state president V Muraleedharan from the post.
In the letter to National President Rajnath Singh and BJP prime ministererial candidate Narendra Modi, Shobha has accused Muraleedharan of behaving like an autocrat.
She also seeks that the central leadership solve the issues in the state unit immediately.
Muraleedharan does not focus on party activities. He does not play any constructive role in the party affairs, Shobha says in the letter.
She also blames Muraleedharan for some of the BJP workers turning dissidents and later joining its foe CPI-M, which was a major setback to the party in Kannur district.
He did not seek their opinion on several issues. They were left out on many party issues in the distruct. That forced many of them to leave the party, she says mentioning the BJP activists who recently joined CPI-M in a gala event held in Kannur on Tuesday.
