Case against TP murder case accused for breach of jail code

Thrissur: Viyyur police here have filed a case against nine persons, who were awarded life sentence by a special court in Kozhikode in TP Chandrasekharan murder case, for breach of jail code.

The nine persons, who were earlier lodged in Kannur Central Prison, were shifted to Viyyu jail here last week over security reasons.

The Viyyur police filed the case against the nine persons on Saturday over a direction from the jail superintend for violating prison codes. The prisoners have also been accused of misbehaving with jail wardens.

There were accusations against the prisoners shouting slogans and trying to manhandle jail wardens earlier itself. They were shifted to the prison here followed by such complaints.

In Viyyur jail, each prisoner is lodged in special cell where it is not possible for them to meet each other.
